Terex Washing Systems (TWS) is set to unveil their latest modular concept at Hillhead 2018 , which, they say, is set to be an innovative ‘game changer' in the construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling market.
The H-Sensortechnik Optical Belt Scale (OBS) is a contact-free volumetric scanner that is mounted over conveyor belts. Using the latest laser technology, this belt scale effectively scans material crossing any conveyor belt with a measurement accuracy of 1mm variance. The system works very well in waste and recycling applications, biomass, soil and mulch, as well as aggregates, and is unaffected by wind, dust, temperature and vibration.
CDE will once again participate in the upcoming Hillhead show from 26 to 28 June in Buxton, where the wet processing company will launch its new scrubbing and attrition system, packed with new features to up the efficiency stakes, as well as its connected plant system.
Hillhead 2018 visitors will get a first look at McCloskey International's new compact jaw crusher - the J35 - in Buxton Quarry, June 26-28, 2018. All eyes were on the new range of Volvo-branded rigid haulers this week when Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) officially launched the new machines in front of customers and dealers at the company's Motherwell facility in Scotland. Guests got their first glimpse of the new machines, which consist of the 45-ton R45D, 60-ton R60D, 72-ton R70D and the flagship 95-tonne R100E. The star of the show was the R100E, a completely new rigid hauler that combines a wealth of market and customer knowledge with proven components, new technologies and a striking new design – all providing a cost-effective and productive solution to fulfill the needs of today's mining and quarrying customers. The new four-model range is initially available in less regulated markets.
At Savage Stone's 400-acre quarry in Jessup, Maryland, gabbro is mined from five, 43-foot tall benches, with chemical rock hardness increasing with each lower level. The shot rock (similar to granite and good for coarse road base) used to be loaded into Volvo 35- and 40-ton articulated haulers and 100-ton Euclid rigids and transported a half mile uphill to the primary crusher, a Lippmann 5062 jaw crusher. The jaw crusher processes rock to 5-7 inches, which is then stockpiled on the surge pile for the finishing plant, where it is crushed to 1 1/2 minus.
