Asphalt Drum Mixers offers four models of portable and stationary recycle systems to enhance asphalt plants' cost efficiency. Recycle systems allow plants to use milled material in hot mix asphalt (HMA). Since recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) is much cheaper than virgin aggregate, the result is a less expensive finished product that maintains the high quality of a pure virgin aggregate mix.
Volvo Construction Equipment launched the CR30B and CR35B combination rollers at World of Asphalt, adding to its small asphalt compaction line. These versatile machines are powered by a fuel-efficient, low-emission engine and packed with features that deliver a smooth and dense mat surface.
Case Construction Equipment's new DV45CC combination vibratory roller compacts with the front drum and delivers a smooth finish with the rear pneumatic tires. An offset drum with tapered edge and high curb clearance offers precision compaction capabilities in tight spaces; adjustable scrapers, an automatic vibration control system and a pressurized water system ensure a smooth, clean finish in a variety of asphalt applications.
At World of Asphalt, Dynapac North America introduced the new MF2500CS material transfer vehicle (MTV) product family featuring two new models, the MF2500CS and the MF2500CS with SwingApp. These innovative models offer unmatched production capabilities and lowest overall cost of ownership, boasting a capacity of up to 4,000 tons per hour. The units are also extremely versatile and able to handle a variety of material applications, including asphalt, concrete, sand and base material.
Caterpillar Inc. has added new production-class Tandem Vibratory Rollers to their paving products family. The new models are the CB13, CB15 and CB16. New nomenclature corresponds to the 13-, 15- and 16-ton weight classes they reside in. Furthermore, these models can be equipped with an oscillatory vibration system for excellent application versatility, and offer refinements to the operator controls, water spray system, service access and lighting packages.
Dynapac North America has expanded its comprehensive roller product line with the addition of the Dynapac CO4200 Generation VI Double Drum Roller with Oscillation. The new roller model delivers an additional heavy compaction solution for operators in a highly balanced and durable machine. The CO4200 VI allows the operator to select the system that is most suitable for the application at hand.
Dynapac's small tandem asphalt roller CC950 is primarily for small-scale compaction work such as pavements, bicycle paths, small roads and parking areas; places that need compaction but are difficult to reach with a larger roller. This small tandem roller comes with an operating mass of approximately 1.6 tons and a drum width of 38 inches.
