Guests at the 2018 Northeastern Forest Products Equipment Expo had the first-ever look at CBI's newest horizontal grinder: the Magnum Force 6800CT. CBI premiered the 6800CT along with the TSC 80T Tracked Conveyor May 11-12 at the Northeastern Forest Products Equipment Expo in Vermont. CBI equipment was paired with Terex Ecotec's TWH 226 Material Handler, showing the complementary value of both Terex Corporation brands in a single operation.

John Deere has announced the integration of Waratah's TimberRite H-16 Control System on John Deere tracked harvesters and tracked swing machines equipped with Waratah 600-Series Harvesting Heads. Previously only available for the 200- and 400-Series Waratah heads, this productive and efficient system has been expanded for use with the 600-Series heads, providing loggers with a solution that enhances connectivity for data and information sharing.
To help customers process increased volumes of waste materials, Rotochopperhas introduced a new 1,000 horsepower dual-motor drive option for the B-66 E electric-powered horizontal grinder. The dual-motor drive is designed to reduce operating and maintenance costs compared to a single-motor drive, as well as minimize amperage surges at start-up.
Fuchs will exhibit at ISRI April 14-19, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, in booth A6. Two machines will be on display: the MHL340 F2 and MHL350 F2 material handlers. "The new-3310B drum chipper is smaller and lighter than our previous model, but still packs impressive performance," said Jody Volner, President of Peterson Pacific Corp. "The 3310B can operate on even tighter landings for biomass and land clearing operations. We are excited about the capabilities of this remarkable machine."
Rotochopper owners and operators gathered at Rotochopper's manufacturing facility in St. Martin, MN for training during the last two weeks of February. The customer service department hosts Rotochopper University annually for companies that have purchased Rotochopper grinders the past year.

On January 26, 2018, Komatsu Ltd. signed an agreement to acquire from Prenbec Equipment Inc., a company based in Quebec, Canada, the Quadco and Southstar forestry attachment operations, excluding the forestry equipment businesses of Tanguay and Forespro delimbers. The acquisition will be made through a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu in the United States and is expected to close in February 2018, subject to completion of the closing conditions.

The app, now available for Cut-to-Length forestry machines, allows the user to secure production and work statistics, even when used in a working environment with weak or non-existent mobile service.
